Well, first of all it's kind of fan-boyish to have a separate "impact in fan circles" section for each part of LTiA. But beyond that, I'm under the impression that KC's re-use of the title is more of a running joke than a serious attempt to treat the four pieces as parts of a greater whole. Does anyone actually listen to them back to back? And what's this recurring musical motif that people speak of... I don't hear any common motif between the parts. Regarding Emmanuelle, a potentially better source can be found here. It's an old forum post that contains a transcription of a magazine article from 1979. LTIA Part 2 - Discipline tour

LTIA Part 2 WAS played by the Discipline 4-piece on tour. It was performed at Poole along with (as usual) The Talking Drum. For what its worth the encore was "Red".
