The Music Scene[edit]
La Cruz has a history of having the most active music scene on the west coast of mainland Mexico for those who want to play or to listen. Almost every night of the week during the winter season one can find a mix of music by local bands, traveling artists, and cruising musicians at local venues including Philo's, Octopus Gardens, Black Forest, Anna Bananas, Ya Ya's, or Britannia. For musicians who want to play, Britannia hosts a very popular true open mic on Tuesday nights.
