Origin of the name[edit]

Literally "近藤" means "near wisteria" but not originally. It came from " a branch of Fujiwara (藤原) clan in Omi (近江) region. Most of Japanese surnames end with "to" or "do" (藤) were derived from such Fujiwara branches. --Ypacaraí (talk) 09:12, 2 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
