Stress reduction and assistance for memory and visual impairment[edit]

Self-published off-Wikipedia article[edit]
This inspired me to write http://wiki.andy.glew.ca/wiki/Technology_for_Finding_Lost_Stuff - on my own wiki, rather than on wikipedia, because it is not encyclopedic, and past experience has shown that the wikipedia trolls are likely to delete such work. And the trolls would be unlikely to allow me to reference such a page. I would be surprised, however, if there is not some academic work surveying this area, and if I find it may write it up for wikipedia. Loosely under "fairly passive GeoLocation technology". Article scope and distinction from other articles[edit]
The article says that a "key finder" might be a device for signalling "that one's restaurant table is ready or a nurse is needed". I don't think that's what a key finder does. I think that a device with those purposes would be called something else. The article also says a "key finder" might be something for tracking "luggage, purses, wallets, pets, laptop computers, toddlers, cellphones, or tools", but I wouldn't call tracking devices for those purposes "key finders". Toddlers, pets and laptop computers are very different from keys. Perhaps the article should be renamed to a more general name. I'm also a bit confused about whether we need a separate article target for "key finder" and tracking device. — BarrelProof (talk) 19:13, 1 November 2021 (UTC)
Can a finder locate a lost cellphone?[edit]
It seems that a key finder can be used to locate the object it is attached to by using a cellphone app to signal the finder. Is it possible to do the reverse, to find a lost cellphone (that is still turned on) using a key finder? This is not clear in the article. — Loadmaster (talk) 18:14, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
