Kerning[edit]

Concerning the disambiguation entry "A satirical misspelling of kerning, referring to bad kerning which causes the letter pair 'rn' to appear as 'm':"

Apart from satire, which is perhaps outside Wikipedia's purview, people may also legitimately misread "kerning" as "keming" due to bad kerning. The distinction should be noted and some form of redirection to "kerning" is warranted. -- unsigned comment 2011 November 30‎ by user Fuquan

It's not satire, but anyway it's within WP's purview if it's covered in reliable sources. As to your "misreading" point: while alternative spellings (e.g. Br. vs. Am.) are of course redirected, expanding scope to include misreadings -- whether due to bad typesetting, reader-can't-find-his-glasses-so-letters-run-together, or whatever -- is not something usually done on WP, unless of course there are RS-es etc. etc and so on and so forth. See [1] for a discussing keming/kerning. EEng (talk) 21:10, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
How about adding it as a 'See also' item, per MOS:DABSEEALSO - "Terms which can be confused with ..."? 183.89.161.174 (talk) 05:03, 14 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
