Karl_Valentin#Films_on_DVD[edit]

In Karl_Valentin#Films_on_DVD "Spielfilme" is translated as "Game Movies". Shouldn't that be "feature films"? --Gradzeichen (talk) 14:44, 4 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wartime[edit]

This person was alive during World War II, and almost certain someone that the Nazis would have regarded as subversive and threatening, given his connections and proclivites. So what happened to him during that era? Was he incarcerated? Regarded as too elderly by then to be a threat? (History seems to show that this was rarely the case.) Kept under house arrest? Just closely monitored? Forced into exhile? The article is incredibly incomplete without this information. 75.216.11.84 (talk) 22:52, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

no jail, no house arrest (according to german wiki article)178.210.114.106 (talk) 18:18, 20 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

he clearly kept on working during the nazi era178.210.114.106 (talk) 18:23, 20 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Valentin clearly was one of the few artists, which enjoyed Narrenfreiheit. In 1938 he answered to an enthusiast ("Hitler got 98% in the election!") a wide-spread remark "Curious! I've only met the 2% all day!" Like Django Reinhardt in Vichy-France, Valentin must have had very powerfull admirors.--92.230.217.107 (talk) 21:14, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
