Article neutrality[edit]

This is a well written article, however certain terms used in the article are not neutral. An easy example is the lead sentence: "..an unsung maestro..". That is not neutral and furthermore it makes his notability questionable. The rest of the article has many of these same flowery prose regarding this musician's abilities. These need to be removed or rewritten to better fit the policies of the Wikipedia project ( WP:NPOV ). Please don't remove the tag without discussion or editing the article for neutrality. Thanks. ju66l3r (talk) 21:55, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ju66l3r: We're working on this article. I agree with you that the tone of this article needs to be more crisp and less eulogistic. Can you hold on and not do anything further (such as recommend deletion) until I get back in an hour or so? This article has shown significant improvement and better meets the style guide for wikipedia. Be careful to always be the one that removes another's tags for clean-up on an article. Often we are not the best judge for whether our actions have improved the article fully or enough to satisfy the reason for having been tagged in the first place. If the tag was accompanied by discussion on the article's talk page, then the original editor who tagged the article will likely be back to appraise the changes and will either remove the tag or comment on why further revision might be necessary. Being the one whose content was tagged and then removing the tag, even if you did fully fix the problem, often appears to be the action of someone who has a desire to hide something that was being tagged for good reason to begin with. It better strengthens the article to have someone else remove the tag or wait a longer time to remove it yourself after others will have had time to consider if the tag is any longer appropriate. ju66l3r (talk) 18:53, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think I was the one who removed the tags. Guess you're right I should have waited for you to remove them. Could I ask you to overlook things just this once as the acts of a Wikipedia noob who'll sure know better the next time? :) Abhikmajumdar (talk) 17:01, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
