Creation of an article for KSKQ-LP[edit]

This article was created because this radio station has been mentioned in other articles of Wikipedia and there are entries for numerous other LPFM (low-power FM) stations. See the list of Category:Low-power FM radio stations, of which there are 408 with an article. KSKQ-LP was one of this category without an article, so obviously it warranted one on the "notability" criterion. Skol fir (talk) 21:45, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

KSKQ-LP edit of ERP[edit]

Anonymous, even though the license from the FCC states that this radio station is allowed to broadcast with up to 100 watts of power, I was not sure if it was using the full 100 watts. A recent newspaper article from Jan. 26, 2010 (which is currently reference #4 in the KSKQ-LP article) states that "[d]uring the interim period, the station is upgrading its 60-watt signal to a 100-watt signal, which should improve reception in people's cars." I was not sure if that upgrade had occurred, and therefore, in the interest of accuracy, left the ERP at 60 watts until someone with inside information could say otherwise. You may be that person. :)

It might help if you stated as much in the edit notes, so that we know your reason for upgrading the ERP to 100 watts. Skol fir (talk) 14:52, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

KSKQ is no longer a low power station[edit]

The label "-LP" was attached to KSKQ because it was once low power. Now that the station has been upgraded to full power, we should change the title of this article to simply KSKQ. That is not currently feasible because there is a redirect page called "KSKQ" which leads to a disambig page for KSKQ. I have therefore made a request to move KSKQ-LP to KSKQ. First, an admin has to delete the Redirect Page. I do not have the power to do so myself.
