When I worked at KPAC in the late 1970s.[edit]

I worked there around 1978-1979 doing talk radio. The entire format on the AM side was talk. Carol Arnold, Nick Nolan and myself were some of the hosts. Larry King was played at night. I do not remember hearing anything about Janis Joplin being there previously. But, it was often said by the old timers that Jiles Perry "J. P." Richardson Jr. - The Big Bopper had once been a DJ at KPAC.
