Trivia[edit]

This doesn't belong on the main page as it's unconfirmed and unconfirmable, but I thought I'd share: A friend of mine who was in the Navy in the early 70's told me he could occasionally hear KCBQ's 50 KW signal from Guam. If only he'd thought to get a QSL card... :D Jeh 03:30, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I recall a jingle from the late 70's early 80's when the format was Top 40:

I Q in the morning, And I Q at night Whenever I'm Q - ing I'm feelin' alright.

There may have been more to it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.105.78.240 (talk) 23:21, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure that KCBQ had switched to an all country music format before 1980...I worked there as an intern preparing public affairs announcements while I was in my senior year at UCSD (1979-1980) and they played nothing but country music and advertised the station as "KCBQ Country." -- Nile —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.89.70.163 (talk) 09:18, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
