Fair use rationale for Image:KBBY-FM.png[edit]

Image:KBBY-FM.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

KBBYKBBY-FM – Per naming conventions, US radio station articles are titled at the official call sign — in this case, KBBY-FM. (That no other station, such as an AM station, currently has the "KBBY" call sign is not relevant.) Given recent moves, however, I feel there is no choice but to initiate a discussion on this. Agree with Wcquidditch that article title should be KBBY-FM per WP:NCBC. An article titled KBBY (without the -FM suffix) should be a redirect to KBBY-FM per WP:RADIONAMING. For the record, the station identifies as "95-1 KBBY" on-air, and there is no other notable KBBY or Kbby in existence, either in broadcasting or elsewhere. 805mike (talk) 09:34, 6 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per nom. WikiProject Radio has a longstanding consensus that radio stations are supposed to be titled with their full official call signs — if a station has the -FM suffix, we don't drop it from our title just because there isn't another competing radio or television station, because the -FM suffix is a core part of the call sign and not just a disambiguator. Attempted changes[edit]

Does anyone know of a reason to change the service area to Santa Barbara or the genre to "Adult and Teens Contemporary"? I reverted anonymous edits to that effect and I couldn't find any supporting source for them. ЄlєvєN єvєN||иэvэ иэvэl3 04:30, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
