Electric Vehicle Company[edit]

Electric taxicabs for Ney York and Philadelphia were NOT built by Electric Storage Battery Company but by the Electric Vehicle Company (EV). Both companies were founded by by Isaac L. Rice. He was bought out in 1899 by William C. Whitney and P. A. B. Widener; the former went into partnership with Albert Augustus Pope who built the EV for a while in his Columbia Automobile Company.--Chief tin cloud (talk) 16:17, 7 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
