Conflict of interest[edit]

It appears we have a conflict of interest that has not been disclosed. User:0036947a made this article and has contributed a significant amount to it, he also happens to be Junade Ali.

How do I know this?

The image File:Junade_Ali_and_Troy_Hunt.jpg is used in this article, it was uploaded by User:0036947a, he is tagged as the Author and the Source is "Own work".

Junade Ali took this picture on 15 Mar 2018 and posted it on Twitter, and all media that gets uploaded to Twitter has its EXIF data stripped, the image uploaded to Wikimedia Commons still has all its EXIF data included.

See archive of the now deleted tweet: https://web.archive.org/web/20180318213233/https://twitter.com/IcyApril/status/974316615369080832

He has made many edits that have conflicts of interest, not just on this article. He has also added in mentions of himself in a lot of articles, nowhere is any of this CoI disclosed. Abandonee (talk) 17:14, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

He physically can't have taken it as he's physically in the photo from a distance, so it isn't possible to be "own work" if it's the same person who took it.
My guess is a colleague who he worked with at Cloudflare and might continue to work with - but colleague seems to warrant a COI regardless. Genuinelysuprised (talk) 17:31, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Actually was just pointed out to me it seems like I was mistaken regarding the use of the Template:COI. The tag should only be used where there's an identified issue:
> In order to be tagged, the article should have a specific, articulatable, fixable problem. Do not apply this tag simply because you suspect COI editing, or because there is or was a COI editor.
I'll remove from the article as the user has already been tagged on their talk page. Genuinelysuprised (talk) 18:27, 20 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
