Kingston Trio Version[edit]

The Kingston Trio's introduction to the song on ...from the Hungry i is by group leader Dave Guard. As with every other intro on the LP, the commentary is clearly intended humorously and is taken as such by the audience. Stanford grad Guard was the group leader and the member who with manager Frank Werber managed the band's finances.
