Believe me, you don't need any more of a plot summary. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.40.46.101 (talk) 14:48, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Are you sure it was Amyl Nitrite[edit]

Not Amyl Nitrate? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gomez2002 (talkcontribs) 15:29, 26 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The credits at the end clearly say "Nitrite". Harfarhs (talk) 00:13, 7 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It would be more likely to be "Nitrite" in any case. One assumes that the name is a reference to the recreational drugs known as "Poppers", which contain as an active ingredient amyl nitrite. There is such a substance as "amyl nitrate" as well, but it has no recreational drug applications. It is used as a diesel fuel additive as well as various applications in organic synthesis. I doubt Jarman would have been interested in (or aware of) that though! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.73.165.168 (talk) 14:44, 6 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
