I am Josh Hart's publicist and would like to become an administrator to edit this page. How do I do that? ElonWerner69 (talk) 00:26, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: this is not the right page to request additional user rights. You may reopen this request with the specific changes to be made and someone may add them for you. You may also want to see WP:COI as you have a declared conflict of interest here, that page will provide guidance COI editing. Cannolis (talk) 00:45, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Change 2022 to 2023 racing season in second paragraph add Banks (son) to Related to Nhraeditor (talk) 19:29, 9 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. While this is a mundane WP:ABOUTSELF change that can be made with primary sources rather than secondary sources, nothing has been linked yet that points to statements made directly by the subject of the BLP; is there an official website or similar rather than self-published racing blogs to use? Top Fuel Dragster[edit]

2023[edit]

  • Top Fuel Winner at Gainesville, FL - Pep Boys All-Star Top Fuel Callout. Cite error: The <ref> tag has too many names (see the help page).[1] and entrepreneur.[2] Hart won his first professional Top Fuel race, the 2021 NHRA Gatornationals, and was the first rookie to win his debut race since 2001.[3]
  • Why it should be changed:

The Lead section as it exists needs to be substantially revised. The present version contains language that is WP:PROMOTIONAL or violates WP:NPOV, as well as many statements that aren’t relevant enough to the subject to belong in a Lead. This new version is more condensed and focused on the main highlights of Hart’s drag racing career.

2.

  • What I think should be changed:

I suggest moving the section “Personal life” beneath the NHRA career section.

  • Why it should be changed:

This change would make this page mirror the structure of the Good Article about drag racer Eddie Hill; also, my understanding is that, in general, most biographies place the “Personal life” section at the end of the article.

3.

  • What I think should be changed:

I suggest revising the section “NHRA career” to read as follows:

Hart began his drag racing career in 2011[4] as a NHRA Top Alcohol drag racer.[5] He won the U.S. Nationals twice in that class.[5]

Hart transitioned to NHRA’s Top Fuel division in 2021,[6] after his entrance into the Top Fuel circuit was delayed by one year due to Covid-19 pandemic shutdowns.[3][6] In his first Top Fuel race, he won the 2021 Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida.[7] By winning the Gatornationals, Hart became the first rookie Top Fuel driver to win his inaugural race since Darrell Russell in 2001, and the fourth rookie driver in NHRA history to do so.[2] Hart won a second event in his rookie season at the NHRA Carolina Nationals in September, 2021[1]

As of 2021, Hart has owned his own racing team,[3] and is part of a movement towards independent team ownership in the NHRA.[5] He is also the owner of Burnyzz Speed Shop in Ocala, Florida.[3]

  • Why it should be changed:

The “NHRA career” section as it exists needs to be substantially revised (as is made clear by the warning box at the top of the article). As it exists, the section contains numerous violations of Neutral Point of View and Verification. The version I’ve suggested addresses all of those violations. (Also please note that the use of the NHRA Bio for Hart here follows the Eddie Hill GA mentioned above, which also makes extensive use of his NHRA Bio page.)

4.

  • What I think should be changed:

The subsection Sponsors in the section NHRA career should be removed.

  • Why it should be changed:

The subsection is promotional and is based solely on unreliable sources (with dead links).

5.

  • What I think should be changed:

The subsection Top Fuel Dragster in the section NHRA career should be removed.

  • Why it should be changed:

The subsection contains no citations, and the most important information from the current section is already covered in the History section revision proposed above in #3.

6.

  • What I think should be changed:

The subsection Top Alcohol Dragster in the section NHRA career should be removed.

  • Why it should be changed:

The subsection contains no citations, and the most important information from the current section is already covered in the History section revision proposed above in #3.

7.

  • What I think should be changed:

I suggest condensing the section “Personal life” into the following:

Hart was born in Huntington, Indiana.[5] He lives in Ocala, Florida[3] with his wife Brittanie and two children.[7]

  • Why it should be changed:

As it is written, the section “Personal life” contains many statements that are not sourced or look like advertising statements. This condensed version addresses those issues with reliable sources.

8.

  • What I think should be changed:

The warning box at the top of the page should be removed.

  • Why it should be changed:

The suggestions made above fix the problems that led to warning labels being put on the page. I have added additional citations to verify that the information in the article comes from a reliable source. The content that was written like an advertisement has been removed. The subject of the article has been shown to be notable because he has received significant press coverage in many different sources, including profiles in The Gainesville Sun, The Journal Gazette, and Racer Magazine. For these reasons, the warning labels at the top of the article should be taken off.

Thank you for taking the time to help with these matters. ElonWerner69 (talk) 16:14, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
