Is this actually Wiki material?[edit]

A previous contributor edited several times without discussing their opinion first, and those edits were removed - also without discussion. Rather than do the same (and have the same done to me) I thought to bring up my objections to the piece here so that people can express their opinions here so that a consensus can be arrived at.

1. What exactly is encyclopaedic about this person, or is it the intention that all lawyers/barristers/solicitors in the whole of the world will have pieces in Wiki? If there is anything in the man's career (such as gaining 2 royal pardons) then the piece ought to be based on that, at the moment it just seems a fan-fest.

2. The statement "gaining a reputation etc" in the header should be substantiated by a citation that states that, or removed. When doing the citing, please don't cite the BelramiAndCompany web-site, where most of the content of this piece seems to have been lifted from, as that is hardly NPOV.

3. "Famously succcessful" - to whom, before I had read the piece I was totally unaware of this person. I think also the mention of the statement begining "leading to the phrase...." also should be substantiated through a cite, or removed.

4. with regard to the inclusion of the person's company website as an external link - Wiki is not (and should not be seen as) a vehicle to promote/market a company. What is the link doing here?

5. Why has the Telegraph link been placed here - that paper does not seem to cover this person's cases any more than any other UK paper. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.177.12.158 (talk) 13:35, 30 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
