Proposing the article for deletion[edit]

In response to User:Rosguill: I will justify this article soon. I am now out of my country, with limited access to internet. In fact, I am in Greece, very close to Dunnett's route of his circumnavigation of Europe, and am going to meet with him. I will interview him and add any relevant information, so the article will better meet the criteria for inclusion. Avneref (talk) 12:12, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Avneref: Do be aware that unless you publish the interview, it is not considered a reliable source, per Wikipedia's policy against original research (and even then, contributing to an article about someone you know in person may constitute a conflict of interest). I would suggest that you read through Wikipedia's general notability guideline; it's not that the article needs more information per-se, it's that we need more evidence that reliable sources unaffiliated with the subject have written about Dunnett. In principle, if you were to find, say, articles about Dunnett in the BBC and NPR, you wouldn't even need to add any information to the article to avoid deletion, the mere existence of the coverage is sufficient. signed, Rosguill talk 16:58, 14 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, User:Rosguill. I met with the guy and an article about him is scheduled for the October issue of Blazer (בלייזר), an Israeli sports magazine. I will add a reference. Avneref (talk) 17:45, 20 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
