DK 50-80 sales[edit]

Otway and Barrett had better ticket sales than they did record sales and so they cunningly made a copy of the DK 50-80 single the entry ticket to their gigs at the time of its release (scratching the label on arrival to prevent re-use). This presumably explains its chart performance, but I'm not sure if there's a reliable source for this fact.... This is verified in both Otway's first Biography - Cor Baby That's Really Me and also in the 2012 documentary Rock and Roll's Greatest Failure. see also http://www.johnotway.com/dk5080.html and https://www.hifinews.com/content/new-gig-economy 82.5.208.241 (talk) 12:55, 28 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
