Untitled[edit]

I'd wondered about this. That would certainly be consistent with the numbers of the invaders and the otherwise unexplained logistical ease with which they arrive. However, in one of the books (sorry, forgotten which) there's a reference to sweet wrappers in another alphabet, which would exclude Indonesian. Whathojeeves 23:06, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I wasn't proposing to describe them as Indonesians on the page, quite agree that it would be unsubstantiated. However this seems like a notable gap in the Tomorrow books to me. The books stress realism. If my country were being invaded, I'd at least speculate about where the invaders came from. So, I'm interested in whether this topic has arisen elsewhere. (Floyd)

He deliberately didn't say where they were from. I can't remember why off the top of my head, but he discussed it in the book he wrote about his writing. Ambi 04:45, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I moved-and-disambigged (if that's a word) to avoid confusion with John Marsden (lawyer). John Marsden (writer) seems like the logical article name, but since the other Marsden has also published at least one book I've tried to avoid describing this one as simply "the author" in disambig text. I was thinking along the lines of Egyptian, but then in "The other side of Dawn" the man chasing Ellie in the train has a "white face". I'm thinking it could be Russian- because they don't use a typical English alphabet. Does anyone else think that John Marsden's books should be much more covered? I think he is such a prolific writer, that he and his books deserve better on this site

Low Importance?[edit]

Not sure this should be low importance on Children's literature. Take a look at the awards he has won and the sheer number of books he has sold not only in Australia but throughout the world. Career[edit]

Does anyone know any firm dates on when John quit his job became a full time author? If so can they include it in the appropriate section.
