Who beat Guest in 1831 election?[edit]

Oxford Dictionary of National Biography says Guest was defeated by Sir George Warrender, 4th Baronet in 1831. However, article Honiton (UK Parliament constituency) says that Guest and Warrender were the two MPs up to 1831 and Warrender and Henry Baines Lott thereafter. Surely that means that Lott defeated Guest.Cutler 22:49, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What's the source for the article Honiton (UK Parliament constituency)? Oxford Dictionary of National Biography must surely be the preferred source here. FunkyCanute (talk) 11:35, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know if the ODNB article has been secretly edited, but the 2004 version online doesn't make any mention of Warrender (and neither do any of the other available versions). Additionally the Honiton (UK Parliament constituency) refs look sound. I've updated the article to remove the mention of Warrender, which is in line with ODNB and doesn't conflict with the constituency article. Ligaturama (talk) 23:33, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
