Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... Historically, this was the first Presbyterian Church ordained minister in the Americas. He was also the first person to construct a Presbyterian Church in the Americas. His importance was such that in 1900 the Synod of the Northeast erected a 25 foot monument to his honor. They then, in 2002, refurbished the monument. I created this stub so I would not forget to build the details out in coming time after I finish with a couple of other pages I am currently working on. I thought this was the point of building a stub... by definition... to create a few sentences on a topic that can be fleshed out at a later time. --Thomas810 (talk) 21:04, 16 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Thomas810: I'm sure you saw, but I declined the speedy deletion for this article due to the reason you stated: first Presbyterian minister ordained in Americas.
