Untitled[edit]

The man described here is most probably John Anthony Fonblanque.

JAF was father of John Samuel Martin Fonblanque 1787-1865, eldest brother of Albany Fonblanque 1793-1872.

JAF was son of Jean (and Eleanor Bagshaw) and grandson of Abel de Grenier, comte de Fonblanque, a Huguenot.

JAF's wife, Frances Caroline Fitzgerald 1760-1844, was a granddaughter of Colonel Samuel Martin 1693-1776 of Antigua hence the name of her eldest son.

What User:Eddaido says appears to be the case. Both John Fonblanques have ODNB articles and it should be relatively easy to constuct a stub article for John Samuel Martin Fonblanque and move the content of this article to his father, whom ODNB calls John de Grenier Fonbancque.
