Constellations allegedly created by Bayer[edit]

I removed the following from the article: {{ConstellationsChangedByBayer}} {{ConstellationsByBayer}} They're incorrect:

Crux was still an asterism within Centaurus. The split occurred later. Leo was split into Leo/Coma by Tycho, or someone earlier. Tabulae Rudolphinae shows that Leo/Coma was considered separate by Tycho. Bayer used Plancius globes and probably Tabulae Rudolphinae. This table seems to be essentially correct, but needs revision:

Keyser and de Houtman transfered their star data to Petrus Plancius, who was the great constellation inventor, while Bayer invented nothing – his main achievement is a rigorous fact collection and map authoring – for which we are very grateful of course. Rursus 10:47, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
