  • ... that the album series Jingle Cats spawned Jingle Dogs, Jingle Babies, and a Japanese video game in which "the object is to breed and care for cats, which begin to sing when they're done copulating"?

  • Comment: The version prior to my expansion is 668 characters and a 5x expansion of that is 3440 characters. The article is currently 3,665 characters. DYKcheck says that it isn't a 5x expansion due to unsourced promotional content that was removed in 2013. I would like to have this be my first special occasion hook with the date being Christmas.

  • Comment: review underway—you've been at DYK for like seventy years and you haven't made a s.o. request yet? damn theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/them) 22:38, 18 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • *American male advertiser's voice* Introducing, the all-new 100% plagiarism-free long-enough article with quality sourcing and adherence to the policy of neutral point of view.[a] Hook is cited inline and interesting, and a QPQ has been done. No ALT suggestions on this one, we'll leave it be. I love how "spawned" perfectly captures "inspired, but not in a good way". Good to go, nice work! theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (they/them) 22:47, 18 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Theleekycauldron And here I was being not ready to turn 30 years old in 2 years. Now I realize that I was hiding from the fact that I'm over 70 years old. SL93 (talk) 23:06, 18 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Italics[edit]

SL93, I've read the article over a few times, and I still don't really understand what Jingle Cats is. Would you say it's an "artist"? An album? The hook calls it a "album series" and italicises it as an album, but then Jingle Dogs and Jingle Babies (which are presumably the same – ie if Cats is an album then so are Dogs and Babies) are not italicised in the hook, which makes it doubly confusing. Right now the article's italics are pretty inconsistent, so I wanted to sort that issue out. Sdrqaz (talk) 02:05, 24 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sdrgaz Jingle Cats, Jingle Dogs, and Jingle Babies are all albums. I'm not sure how to properly italicize songs and albums - or which one needs to be italicized if not both. SL93 (talk) 02:11, 24 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, thank you. Albums should be italicised but songs should be in inverted commas. Reading the Billboard source, I am even more confused – they seem to treat Jingle Cats as an artist (calling Meowy Christmas "the original world famous Jingle Cats smash hit debut album"). Sdrqaz (talk) 02:21, 24 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sdrqaz I fixed it below. SL93 (talk) 02:23, 24 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That looks good. Thank you for your patience. Sdrqaz (talk) 02:29, 24 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sdrqaz Thanks for your help. I fixed the italics issue and created a report on ERRORS. SL93 (talk) 02:31, 24 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know how best to describe it. Looking at Sweet Tracks, the name of the album series isn't italicized if that article is correct. The albums in the series would be italicized, but the songs wouldn't be I'm guessing. SL93 (talk) 02:20, 24 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
