Merger proposal

Hi,

Bouffon is a page where only the definition of the word is given. As wikipedia is not a dictionary, i would suggest to merge the content of that page into the section "Modern usage" of this article. The history of both articles could be merged so the list of authors is not lost. If merge proposal is not successfull, Bouffon will have to be deleted, as its content and topic do not comply to Wikipedia:Wikipedia is not a dictionary policy -DontdisplaymyIPherethx 20:37, 16 September 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Special:Contributions/*** (talk)

A Bouffon and a Jester are not the same so I am opposed to any merger. If any merger were necessary Bouffon could be a subset of an article about 'Fools'Robynthehode (talk) 00:59, 17 September 2014 (UTC)
  • Oppose – not the same thing; perhaps a better idea would be for Bouffon to be expanded? I'm not volunteering though! ;-) SagaciousPhil - Chat 07:44, 17 September 2014 (UTC)

Please see your user page for my reasons for removing your edit. You could include either character if you provide suitable verifiable sources as per Wikipedia guidelines and the sources show the medieval jester and the modern day one are notable. Otherwise any attempts to keep including this will be reverted.Robynthehode (talk) 11:33, 30 December 2014 (UTC)
