Nationality of character in 'Broken Flowers'[edit]

Folks,

Could someone plz verify and correct the nationality of Winston in Broken Flowers -- I strongly believe he is not Caribbean but is from Ethiopia. If you recollect, there are references to Ethiopian coffee and a CD burned and given to Bill Murray's character of the Ethiopian jazz artist, Mulatu Astatke.

I would appreciate if someone could rectify what I think is an inaccuracy, and then, plz delete my post too. (I'm not savvy enough in making changes responsibly on this website and do not wish to create any snafus in the process, esp because I am a big admirer of Jeffrey).

Thanks.

– The actor is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC; he gets 99 percent of the pageviews for everyone on the DAB page, and there's no real challengers for long-term significance, either. Speaking of the DAB page, outside of the actor and a partial-title match poet, it doesn't really list anyone known as Jeffrey at all. As such, it should be renamed to Jeff Wright, a more accurate description of its content and what it disambiguates. Nohomersryan (talk) 07:39, 2 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support first move, neutral on second Jeff is usually an abbreviation of Jeffrey In ictu oculi (talk) 10:14, 2 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support first move, neutral on second Per above Jtbobwaysf (talk) 15:58, 3 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support first; Oppose second. The actor is the clear primary topic for Jeffrey Wright. I'd prefer the DAB page stay at Jeffrey because that is the full name, and not all entries are known by the nickname Jeff. Calidum 23:21, 3 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support the first, but move the dab page to Jeffrey Wright (disambiguation). That way it can cover both Jeffs and Jeffreys. Jeff Wright can continue redirecting to dab.--Cúchullain t/c 19:30, 4 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nomination. There are five Jeffs and only two Jeffreys at the disambiguation page, thus indicating "Jeff Wright" to be the predominant form. Since the poet is never referenced as simply "Jeffrey Wright", the actor is, by default, to say nothing of popularity, the sole subject of the exact name, "Jeffrey Wright". —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 09:41, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Westworld[edit]

As this is the major role he has in his career thus far, is there any way to break it out a little more in his career bio? The only mention is of nominations. It gives a very schewed view of his work and career. Is this anti-HBO bias? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:182:4381:E60:944F:1BF1:2522:AF5F (talk) 19:02, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled[edit]

Why isn’t Jeffrey Wright’s role in HBO’s “Westworld,” mentioned since he’s been nominated for at least two awards and it’s been a critical and fan-based success? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:7080:A03A:1FA:D49B:8C68:B06B:D6F5 (talk) 00:11, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Infobox person says, "It is usually not relevant to include either parameter for non-graduates ... " And MOS:INFOBOXPURPOSE says, "The less information it contains, the more effectively it serves that purpose, allowing readers to identify key facts at a glance." Also, there's no consensus that all the colleges/universities Wright attended should be included. Thedarkknightli (talk) 22:40, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
