Untitled[edit]

I have fixed a link to James Galway. While I was here, I thought I might kick off the talk page. Capitalistroadster 14:59, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Most of the article needs deleting[edit]

This is one of the worst articles in terms of quality. As of 18-Feb-2009, there was not much worth keeping. Most of it contains rubbish claims that are not verified or cited. It is written like an advertisement, possibly by the subject or a relative/friend. I think the only answer is to delete most of it and start again, using referenced material. I propose this deletion takes place soon.Lester 21:51, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I thought the article was much better a few months back. It is now nearly exactly the same as Rutter's own website and is, as Lester says, like an advertisement written by the subject, a relative or friend.Gontroppo (talk) 10:15, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is her car accident really 25% of her life ?[edit]

Just because something happened to someone sometime and there are sources for it, does it really need to go into a bio? This article devotes 1 out of 4 sections to it. WP:UNDUE Greglocock (talk) 03:16, 1 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not a source of biographies, but an encyclopedic entry. There is nothing wrong with that entry. You should try expanding on the entry by locating additional sources of Rutter's life and achievements and make the article bigger! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cbrmus (talkcontribs) 03:00, 15 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree. While in an ideal world I would behave as you suggest, I do not have infinite time and resources. However, I am sufficiently respectful of someone that if I can't find anything positive to say about her, I will at least remove stuff that smells more of prurience than notability.
