No hyphens for James and Simon, but Rory uses one because CJ is not his birth surname.[edit]

Neither James nor his legitimate son Simon have a hyphen in their names. Rory is the illegitimate son of James. Because Rory is not a full member of the family, he uses a hyphen in his acquired (not birth) surname.
