Additional info[edit]

Gerda, I've rummaged without much success for more info about Bates. There isn't an obit in any of the musical journals I have access to. WorldCat shows that for Carolina Baroque's own label he conducted them in recordings of Bach's cantatas Liebster Jesu, mein Verlangen, BWV 32, Allein zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ, BWV 33, Ich will den Kreuzstab gerne tragen, BWV 56 and Ich steh mit einem Fuß im Grabe, BWV 156. (ref: here). That really is all I can lay hands on, I'm sorry to say. Tim riley talk 11:44, 29 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for trying. These - and some more, BWV 22, as you know - are covered by his Bach cantatas entry, at the bottom, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:16, 29 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
