Thanks, User:HistoryofIran, for your work on this entry. Re Iyas's successor, you removed this statement: 'He was succeeded by al-Nu'man's nephew Nuʻmān ibn al-Rayyān.^[1]' I don't know about this subject so I'm happy to bow to your wisdom, but I just wanted to run by you the secondary source which I used (cited in the footnote), which says:

Al-Asadī recorded the consequences of the battle of Dhū-Qār and stated that Kisrá was defeated. Al-Ḥurqah was sent to marry Nuʻmān ibn al-Rayyān, her only cousin to survive the Persian attack on the Kingdom of al-Ḥīrah. Al-Asadī notes that Kisrá regretted what he had done to the Lakhmid Dynasty and apologized to Nuʻmān ibn al-Rayyān before appointing him to be the king of al-Ḥīrah in place of King Nuʻmān ibn al-Mundhir, al-Ḥurqah’s father.

This is citing Ḥarb Banī Shaybān maʻa Kisrá Ānūshirwān, which may well not be a reliable primary source. But if it is reliable, I guess the information might be worth re-instating? It just don't make any sense, since more or less every source states that the Lakhmid dynasty was abolished in 602 by Khosrow II and that al-Hira was thereafter governored by Sasanian statesmen. The source seems very dubious if you ask me. --HistoryofIran (talk) 22:20, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Reference and sources must be cited.[edit]

@entropeter This site's articles itself are not reliable as sources. Azadbeh article was created with few details and few sources are mentioned. There are simply not much known about Azadbeh as much as about Iyas Ibn Qabisha. There are theses, books, and researches done on this person Iyas Ibn Qabisha and the sources are also cited. You cannot base what should be on this site based on assumptions and other articles that are poorly written on this site. It would be better to instead provide more details about Azadbeh and Mundhir Ibn Al Nouman. Please read the guideline and policies of Wikipedia so as to not violate any.

@Promo Academic I removed some claims without citations and the claims that you have reintroduced contradict at least some sources, so, please, provide citations for this and future changes. If you are not satisfied with the article on Azadbeh, then start improving that article instead of making changes in the article on Iyas without citations.Entropeter (talk) 17:39, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
