Um?[edit]

How does Ivan Reitman fall within the scope of WikiProject Chicago? Does he live there? And why does he not have a table for awards? Howa0082 (talk) 13:46, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I couldn't see much connection to Chicago, if any. I removed the article from the project. PKT(alk) 19:07, 25 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

American citizen?[edit]

I heard that he became an American citizen around 2011, but I can't find a source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.230.186.91 (talk) 16:12, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

On Including a Youtube Link of Delete Scenes- 3RR Warning![edit]

This message is for IP User: (67.83.60.230). The user has been repeatedly warned and advised here about the way to include information on this article. And more recently, it has been warned about the possibility of breaking the 3RR rule. I will paste in here the latest message:

@67.83.60.230: Please, consider what I have explained above. If you want to add information to this article, explain the reasons (I for one, am not convinced it enhances the article, but others might differ), follow the citation guidelines, and include it in the most appropriate place in the article. I strongly suggest that you open a section in the article's Talk Page and present your case. Below is a formal warning about breaking the 3RR rule. I hope you will consider the options I have explained above. Historiador (talk) 23:02, 4 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. The youtube link being used as a source appears to be a copyright violation meaning we cannot use it as a source. If the clip is included as a deleted scene on a DVD (or something similar), it would be a primary source -- usable, but likely trivial.
IMO, at the very least, we need an independent reliable source discussing this to include a mention of the scene or several independent reliable sources discussing it to include anything more than a bare mention. - SummerPhDv2.0 01:24, 5 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
