The first half of "recording" is about the musical composition itself, so it seems misplaced.
"An earlier, longer recording" Earlier version? It isn't made clear that it is the same song until the end of the sentence.
Barrett is mentioned out of the blue, with no wikilink, full name, or anything.
Likewise, Waters' role in the band should be mentioned first time he appears.
Mason also pops in out of nowhere, with no link, full name, or anything.
Also, Smith is mentioned, but full name, role and link only comes further down, it should be included at first mention.
There is no citation for the last sentence in the composition section.

"After recording session for Piper were over, Pink Floyd once played a 30 minute version of "Interstellar Overdrive"." What is the purpose of the word "once" here?
" version of "Interstellar Overdrive" was cut from the Ummagumma live album." Did it surface anywhere else?

"moe. on their live album Dr. Stan's Prescription, Volume 1." Clarify that they covered it on their album. This fragmentary writing is also used in other examples from that section, should be elaborated.
Since you cite different pages of the same book, a citation style like that seen in for example Pink Floyd would be better. There, the pages are listed separately from the books, so that the whole citation isn't repeated without end.
"While attempting to get the band a record deal, Joe Boyd returned (and produced) with the group to Sound Techniques studios,[31][32] to record a demo tape to be given to various record labels, one of the songs recorded was "Interstellar Overdrive".[32]" Sentence too long, break up.
