– I just disambiguated 31 incoming links. Every single one of them was for Inktomi (company). It appears that it is the primary topic for this spelling. Nick Number (talk) 21:16, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose incoming links to a disambiguation page doesn't show much, since they're all supposed to be corrected, so we don't know how many were corrected by others, or were fixed when they were written on revision of errors. -- 76.65.131.160 (talk) 05:42, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
We can see the current incoming links to those pages though. Not counting ones from the dab or the other Inktomi pages, Inktomi (crater) only has 4 incoming links, and Iktomi has 14. Of those 14, the only one which includes the Inktomi spelling at all is List of company name etymologies. It seems pretty clear that the company is the primary topic for that spelling. Correction; there is one other. List of geological features on Rhea uses the Inktomi spelling in reference to the crater. I don't think this detracts much from the point. Nick Number (talk) 13:20, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, the recent undiscussed move of the company article was mistaken. It is pretty clearly the primary topic. olderwiser 13:10, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support the company is obviously the primary topic. --Enric Naval (talk) 15:30, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose If this move proceeds, then the recently disambiguated links would ideally need undoing. If we assume that the majority of the incoming links for the company are already in place, then there shouldn't be too many to deal with in the future. In any case, there's now a bot which warns editors when they've linked to a dab page. While the company may appear to be the primary topic in business/commerce/IT circles, this will clearly not be the case in astronomy circles. Have all relevant WikiProjects been notified, e.g. WP:BUSINESS, WP:SOLAR? -- Trevj (talk) 13:00, 4 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
