First Sentence Makes No Sense At All![edit]

"The Indigenous people of Oaxaca are descendants of the inhabitants of what is now the state of Oaxaca, Mexico". WHAT!? Here's the equivalent of this nonsense: "The Indigenous people of California are descendants of the inhabitants of what is now the state of California, USA."
