References[edit]

All of the references to studentaid.gov now redirect to different parts of studentaid.ed.gov, and the refs could be cleaned up somewhat to remove duplicates (i.e., there's not 34 different refs). Most of those don't seem to be archived, either, so they should be reviewed at some point when someone cleans them up to make sure they still support the claims in the article. I also added multiple issues to the article for a few things as well. 50.32.193.229 (talk) 22:07, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Income Based Repayment[edit]

I noticed in this article that the author collapsed income based repayment with income driven repayment. Income driven repayment is the umbrella term for the federal repayment programs that are based on the payee's income. This term does include the income based repayment plan, but income based repayment and income driven repayment are two distinct terms. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.241.178.161 (talk) 14:27, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Rename this?[edit]

The result of the move request was: Closed as malformed, no consensus in favor of move. Typically this would be executed with a merge discussion.(closed by non-admin page mover)— Shibbolethink ( ) 15:32, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Income-based repaymentIncome-driven repayment – ICR, IBR, PAYE and REPAYE are all income-driven repayment plans. They can all be consolidated into a single article. https://studentaid.gov/manage-loans/repayment/plans/income-driven 75.97.131.176 (talk) 01:01, 25 July 2021 (UTC) Relisting. ProcrastinatingReader (talk) 19:21, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Isn't that more of a WP:Requested merge? 85.67.32.244 (talk) 14:54, 25 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
    • The title of this article misrepresents IDR and IBR as interchangeable terms. This article includes information about IBR, ICR, PAYE and REPAYE. All of which are IDR plans NOT IBR plans. IBR is one of the plans that fall under the IDR umbrella. --75.97.131.176 (talk) 15:29, 25 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
      • What do you mean by "they can all be consolidated"...? I took it as a proposal to merge the existing articles mentioned in the lede. I agree the content goes beyong IBR. It's extremely confusing as it often refers to the same thing by different names, so a good copy edit per MOS:ARTCON would help. 85.67.32.244 (talk) 15:05, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
