Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because... I am the assistant to the Author Hampton Sides, and have his permission as creator and approver of content to post and create Wikipedia pages. I can obtain written permission from Author Hampton Sides upon request. I am also working with Doubleday to make sure no copyright infringements are taking place.--Artfuldodger06 (talk) 20:39, 18 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. As the assistant to Mr. Sides, you have a conflict of interest: You want to promote the book whereas Wikipedia, as an encyclopedia, wants all its content to be written form a neutral point of view. We have found that it is virtually impossible for someone in your position to write that way; so we strongly discourage writers from creating or directly editing pages where they have a conflict of interest. The article continues to be blatantly promotional.

BTW we have no interest in Mr. Sides’ permission: If the article survives, it will be Wikipedia’s article about the book—not his article hosted on Wikipedia. —teb728 t c 00:10, 19 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
