Talkbox for Immaculata University Page

The Pennsylvania Historical Commission erected a State Historical Marker for Duffy's Cut near the site of the tragedy in 2004, based on the research of the Immaculata History Department's Duffy's Cut Project. The Pennsylvania Humanities Council has recognized the importance of the Duffy's Cut story by selecting project team members as Commonwealth Speakers for 2006-2007. The web page of the Duffy's Cut Project provides an explanation of the archaeological research to date (for example, artifacts from the camp and work site of the Irish railroad workers and early railroad artifacts from the 1830s):

A vast amount of archival evidence has been uncovered by the project team attesting to the events in 1832 in the archives of local historical societies; the National Archives and the City Archives in Philadelphia; the Archives of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia; the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, and other research facilities. The story will be fully available in the forthcoming book with Praeger Publishers written by project team members, and entitled The Ghosts of Duffy's Cut (currently in press), and in the documentary on the subject now being produced by Tile Films of Dublin. The Duffy's Cut Project headquarters is 21 Faculty Center, Immaculata, PA 19345

Copyright violations in History section

The entire section currently titled History is either a verbatim or poorly disguised copy of what's on the Immaculata University website ([1]) and thus is a copyright violation. As per Wikipedia:Copyright, I have deleted it. --Danelo 22:34, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

Academics

I have tried to collect this as best I can with the knowledge supplied in the material. It is probably not that great. For starters, the format with blocks, etc. is a bit ornate. The subsection is probably too long as a result. I would skip blocking material. People aren't going to read through a mess like this IMO. Tighten as much as possible.

But the organization bothers me. Academics is the single header for the entire block BTW. Student7 (talk) 22:12, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
