Potential Reference Material[edit]

This isn't some fancy primary source, and i found it in passing, but this is a blog post titled "ILYA STARINOV – THE GODFATHER OF MODERN INSURGENT IED WARFARE"
They have a whole blog devoted to history of this kind of stuff, and have dug up some good information
Some proper sources mentioned in the comments, and also could ask the person themself for their sources
