Does not match[edit]

The part in the article about how the name iiO started does not match the one on Nadia's article. Which one is right? (Did it start as 'vaiio' or 'vaio' then an extra 'i' added?) Chinze 04:18, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: Move. We have a rough consensus that the proposed title is distinct enough from others per WP:SMALLDETAILS. It appears that sources do refer to the subject as "iiO" written that way, and we saw no evidence of anything else being used, obliging us to follow the sources. Additionally, as noted in the discussion, concerns that the title can't be displayed appropriately are mooted by Template:DISPLAYTITLE, which is already used at the article, weakening the two oppose !votes. Oppose due to not bring enough of a WP:DIFFCAPS issue for this to be enough disambiguation. Also, per Wikipedia:Naming conventions (technical restrictions)#Lowercase first letter, this proposal is actually to move this article to IiO. Steel1943 (talk) 16:30, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose - User talk:JIP the move is actually a move to IiO as a move to iiO is impossible. (which removes the rationale) and Iio (surname) is a more notable claimant to primary topic for virtually indistinguishable "Iio", what purpose does it serve for readers removing the only thing that identifies the article? Leaning toward support: This seems like a pretty strange case, possibly bordering on MOS:TM. Do any reliable sources use a different styling than "iiO" for this topic? Assuming that the answer is "No", regardless of whether we think of it as "IiO" or "iiO", it does seem pretty hard to end up with either of those quirky capitalizations without looking for this topic. None of the other candidates would use that sort of uppercase/lowercase mixture, and that's not a reasonable variation like all-caps or no-caps or capitalizing each word of a phrase. To me, this is a better example of an appropriate use of funny capitalization for disambiguation than most of those listed at WP:DIFFCAPS. —BarrelProof (talk) 02:33, 6 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
