Huh?

What exactly is this supposed to mean? The songs collected on this album were mostly written by Lovett before recording his first album. We find evidence of this on the 8th track, "Record Lady," where Lyle refers to college friend and fellow musician, Robert Earl Keen. Forgive me for being obtuse, but what does a reference to Robert Earl Keen have to do with when the songs were written? The fact that he was a "college friend"? That seems very flimsy, as most people probably don't know that the two knew each other in college. - DynSkeet 16:37, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

I agree with DynSkeet, someone seems to be jumping to conclusions here. I'll try to look for some real reviews of this album and rewrite this. I don't recall any claims in the liner notes regarding the time in which the songs were written. If I were to make my own speculation about these songs, I would guess some lyrics relate to Julia Roberts, but then I would be adding my own original research too. -MrFizyx 22:13, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
