Independent Page[edit]

I have posted an independent page given the increasing distinction of iXsystems from Berkeley Software Design and removed the talk redirect. I have made my best effort to be objective and welcome feedback.

How can this render with a lower case "iX" as in "~/iXsystems" rather than with a capital "IX"? Maiklsdeksters (talk) 21:14, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move[edit]

The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: move not possible. The IP explains the rationale, but basically we can't move the page to the desired title and we already display it with the lowercase 'i'. (non-admin closure) Calidum Talk To Me 01:56, 25 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

IXsystemsIXsystems – Correction to reflect capitalization used by the subject. "iXsystems", rather than "IXsystems". The redirect or other factors currently prevent a regular user from performing this. Maiklsdeksters (talk) 22:56, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment your proposed title is impossible on Wikipedia, as Wikipedia does not allow lowercase leading letters in article names. This is a technical restriction due to setting that Wikipedia uses in MediaWiki. iXsystems and IXsystems are the exact same name in Wikipedia. Rather, you need to hack the displayed title, which does not move the page at all. As the current article already uses the hack, there's nothing doing here. -- 65.94.171.126 (talk) 05:40, 20 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Products and services[edit]

Is there a reason why FreeNAS and TrueNAS are listed but TrueOS is not? What makes something a product or not? 144.136.44.169 (talk) 13:12, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

TrueOS is listed in the company infobox's Product section. You could add a section under Products and services; I'd just copy in about a quarter of TrueOS's lede. 110.150.190.27 (talk) 07:42, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
