First read through: Nice article, great prose and comprehensive information. However the date formats are not appropriate, as American English is more prominent in South Korea than British English. Therefore, date formats should be changed from DMY to MDY (2 June 2011 → June 2, 2011), akin to other GAs/FAs of WP:Korea (Battle of Osan or Big Bang (South Korean band)). — Simon (talk) 06:34, 30 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, Chinese Wikipedia has been banned since May 19, 2015 and I use proxy to connect. Okay there are several issues I found in the lead...

The source for "spending the most number of weeks at No. 1 along with Psy's "Gangnam Style"" is missing.

Genres: K-pop → dubious as K-pop is a massive mix of various genres. Perhaps something more specific along with that genre, e.g. "pop" or "R&B"?

"music charts" → again, this sounds too vague

Personally I do not think that the dates need to be changed, although Korea does use american English more, I do not think that the article needs to be reflective of it. looking at MOS:DATETIES, I don't think there's any strong national ties to American english. Also I believe that the reason why those articles you mentioned uses the american format is merely because the first major contributor decided to use it.

Overall comments on prose[edit]

The career section is too extensive, try to mention only the most significant success of IU (the years 2012, 13, 14, 15 each has its own section, which makes the article lengthy and hard to follow)
Fandom section: sounds like some gossip content (of course, all singers/groups have their fanbase, but is this necessary?)

Personally I do not think that the we should merge the sections, it already only states the main things that she did while giving some explanations on why it is significant. I have already cut out what I believe are insignificant information. It would take major restructuring and I do not think I am capable of doing it. Overall this article looks great. But one thing I would like to recommend you to omit is the "fandom" thing, as it sounds like WP:FANCRUFT. And it would be great if the article sees the addition of "Impact" section, as IU has a high profile in Korea, as well as is one of the most controversial figures there.
