Original Research / Drexler?[edit]

The claims of Drexler's influence on the making of the ISO standard seem dubious to me, considering that his influence on actual science is practically non-existant while for "some reason" he is mentioned in the beginning of almost every wikipedia article regarding things nano. Also, the dangers Drexler discussed are far away from what is discussed by FDA, EC/EMA/REACH etc. He did stir up some media attention, so it is not completely unlikely that regulators took some notice. However, the ISO standard does not mention Drexler, and a quick search only turned up wiki clones, so the claims are at least currently unsubstantiated. Was the now defunct link providing the source for this? If this cannot be recovered I feel that the claims regarding Drexler should be removed. --155.250.198.76 (talk) 16:59, 14 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
