COI Declaration[edit]

I am an editor affiliated with ISO/IEC JTC 1 and the American National Standards Institute who has made significant edits to this article. I have added the sections "History," "Scope and mission," and "Collaborations," and expanded the sections "Working groups," and "Published standards." I have also updated the section "Member countries" to the most current list of participating and observing countries. I am aware of Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, particularly the COI guideline, and have done my best to follow them as strictly as possible. I would greatly appreciate any feedback or comments to help improve this article.

POSIX work group disbanded?[edit]

Is this a kind of joke or something that POSIX workgroup WG15 is disbanded? Isn't POSIX, like, still, how should I say, well-maintained? Dannyniu (talk) 11:16, 24 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Blinded by the blight[edit]

Couldn't we just put "(hereafter SC 22)" in the lead sentence and then substitute every occurrence of "ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 22" with "SC 22" where the former string is not part of an official wiki link?

This page is probably losing 80% of its already slim (yet determined) audience on instantaneous eye bleed.

Visually, this page is like heading outdoors into a nail storm with no protective eyewear.

Many a certain hidebound, committee-hardened survivalist sect enjoys this kind of punishment, but shouldn't this page should be regarded as outreach effort, and not just as documentation by and for the choir? — MaxEnt 20:13, 7 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
