Proposing a Compromise Between Stylization and Marketing[edit]

Refer to this talk page, and just replace "XS" with "XR".

Pronunciation as “iPhone 10 R”[edit]

In the first line of the paragraph, it stays this device is referred to and marketed as the “iPhone Ten R”. This may be possible outside of the American market, but it is much more commonly referred to as the “iPhone XR” here in America. The use of the Roman numeral “X” as 10 did fit in with the pervious model nomenclature, but this is the first instance of Apple using the Roman vs standard Arabic number system. The original iPhone X was released at the same time as the iPhone 8 and skipped the number 9. Although, as of 2020, there is a proposed iPhone 9 to be released, it’s initial 3 year absence suggests Apple was trying to differentiate the X models from previous generations. Can anybody confirm the name with documentation? Perhaps commercial advertisements from Apple or its major carriers at the time of release would be useful. Could the names be interchangeable? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.235.68.109 (talk) 17:20, 4 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Predecessor[edit]

I do not agree with the fact that the iPhone 8 is the predecessor of the iPhone XR. Although the iPhone XR is a cheaper model that happened to succeed the iPhone X, it did not succeed the iPhone 8 as a cheaper model because it doesn’t follow the same technology or color scheme as the iPhone 8. iPhone 8 was not available in crazy colors such as yellow, blue, or coral like the iPhone XR. Tried fixing something went wrong[edit]

Tried to fix the current OS info but just made it worse because I have 0 editing skills. Is it possible if anybody else could fix it? I’m obviously incompetent. Whatamidoingwithmylife30 (talk) 18:20, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
