discography[edit]
i can't agree with the fact that a discography makes an article "adverty", Jasynnash2; compare, for example, with the articles on Tempa or Skull Disco, which are both articles regarding Dubstep record labels.
Or further afield, take Bob Dylan discography as an example. The only reason that it's a separate article is to shorten an already large, but really good article. It's well maintained, and the content is undeniably encyclopaedic in nature. I'm restoring the content, but will try and clean it up a bit format-wise? --Kaini (talk) 00:39, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
- I think the "advertiness" in my head had more to do with the quality of the article as a whole and the formatting of the section at the time. Thank you for the work you have put into fixing these issues. Not being an expert I've been trying to judge the articles on their content (hence the notability and references things) and what I can find out about the subjects as I go. I truly hope you haven't taken offense and I appreciate your civil and evenhanded approach throughout the process. BTW, just looked at Tempa and noticed the lack of references there as well. Is there a single point (like a WP project) that I can bring the centralised need for improvement on these articles to? (I could just go through tag things and try to make improvements on the individual articles but, would prefer more "expert" hands helping out along the way). Again thank you. - no offence taken! i've been meaning to add refs for a while, and you gave me the push needed :) regarding a centralised project for this stuff, the closest thing is probably Wikipedia:WikiProject Electronic Music. I'll have a look at Tempa later. --Kaini (talk) 15:35, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
