Hi. The explanation of Zoom's powers had a few contrary sentences, which made little sense when read as a whole. I clarified the section, which is now to my reckoning, correct. Thatdamncoyote 06:49, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:WallyVsZoom.jpg[edit]

Image:WallyVsZoom.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Requested move 7 January 2016[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: Move as proposed. "Zoom (comics)" will redirect to Reverse-Flash. However, knowledgeable editors will need to make sure to update the redirects, which aren't always clear as to which character is intended. Cúchullain t/c 15:14, 20 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Zoom (comics)Hunter Zolomon – Given that the character's predecessor Eobard Thawne also occasionally referred as "Zoom", therefore the name should be rename to avoid conflicts between the two characters. NeoBatfreak (talk) 22:14, 7 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. I even think that Zoom (comics) should even redirect to the article Reverse-Flash or to a disambiguation page, given that there are three characters from the Flash comic book franchise sharing the name: Eobard Thawne (Professor Zoom), Hunter Zolomon (Zoom), and Thaddeus Thawne (formerly Inertia and Kid Zoom).--NeoBatfreak (talk) 21:04, 8 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I just listed all the characters Zoom on the disambiguation page Zoom.--NeoBatfreak (talk) 21:34, 8 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
FWIW those entries appear to have been removed.
  • Support moving this page, and then creating either a proper DAB or a slightly expanded DAB page explaining the background and interrelationship between these characters. Being not much of a comic person myself I don't know the details, but it makes sense to do this move and create the appropriate DAB page. Since the expanded generic Zoom DAB page had these various Zoom entries removed, I don't think simply redirecting to the Zoom DAB is enough. Perhaps a specific Zoom (comics) page which is a dab would be most appropriate. Tiggerjay (talk) 16:56, 19 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I am not sure about creating a DAB page for the characters given it has already done so in these characters also share the name of "Reverse-Flash" as much as "Zoom." That's why I think this article should be renamed as Hunter Zolomon while Zoom (comics) should redirect to Reverse-Flash article.--NeoBatfreak (talk) 07:52, 20 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

Supergirl "Worlds Finest" mention[edit]

Greetings.

I did not originally enter the notation that Zoom was mentioned in Supergirl. But, I did inspire it.

I originally noted the Killer Frost and Vibe pages that Caitlin Snow and Cisco Ramon, respectively, that Barry discovered that they did not exist on Supergirl's Earth. Another administrator removed the notations claiming that they were irrelevant. Here was my reply:

If this was "Arrow", I'd agree with you, DK. But, this is an atypical cross-network crossover event. Caitiln is mentioned, by name, and the notation is valid.

(That's also why I conceded the Arrow mention, since that was most likely correct.)

The notations were left alone and remain there. Other editors were inspired to include other mentioned characters who also don't exist on that world, including Zoom. (I didn't because I was more interested in the main Flash characters.) Those other notations remain because they are still considered valid, as is Zoom's mention on this page.

Please let's not get into an editing war over this. It's a valid notation and needs to remain. Thanks.

Non-appearances are trivial. The comics project has discussed this multiple times (here are two recent discussions). Nothing about this is encyclopedic. If readers want this, they can go find a fan wikia. Additionally, I am restoring the WP:STATUSQUO of the article while this is being discussed. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 01:44, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I've also just removed the mentions at Killer Frost and Vibe (comics) for the same reasons I've presented here, that they are trivial. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 01:48, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Then go ahead and remove all the others as well: Harrison Wells, STAR Labs, Atom, Firestorm, Green Arrow, Black Canary, and any redirects or related articles. Knock yourself out.Ooznoz (talk) 01:52, 5 May 2016 (UTC)Ooznoz[reply]
Done Thanks for pointing out the other trivia mentions. It's a start. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 02:05, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
