Hey, this disambiguation topic seems, to me, unfortunately split up into too many pieces. There are about 30 separate disambiguation pages, one for each U.S. state having 2 or more Hopewells. Why not use sections here, one for each state, and show all the entries here. The TOC for the dab could be displayed at right for easy navigation, using {{TOCright}}. That would serve readers better I think. And why not merge in all the separate state-specific dabs, redirecting each one to its corresponding new section here, saving on maintenance. --doncram (talk) 13:15, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. This page is already long, and otherwise looks pretty good. Merging everything into here would make it more difficult to find what is wanted. Someone typing in or linking to Hopewell, Alabama should get to the shorter dab page showing only Alabama, not be redirected here. And someone typing in or linking to Hopewell probably doesn't want one of the Hopewell-Alabamas (or they would have typed that) and should not have to navigate through all of every state's Hopewells to find the topic sought. Shorter dab pages are better. Station1 (talk) 15:47, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Sort of support. How about merging all the U.S places into one page, such as: Hopewell (U.S.), then include that link here such that this page doesn't get too long? --Tesscass (talk) 19:09, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Support explicitly listing all the ambiguous "Hopewell" places here, using sections and groups to ease navigation. Neutral on altering the other disambiguation pages. Hopewell, Alabama, for instance, could remain as it is or could become a redirect to the Alabama section or {{anchor}} tag on this page. (And oppose the creation of titles like Hopewell (U.S.), which would be an incomplete disambiguation.) -- JHunterJ (talk) 13:53, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose merging all these into one humongous page per Station1. older ≠ wiser 14:34, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
