Hi there, I'm Mm40 (talk) and I'll be checking this article against the good article criteria. I'll be watching this page, so you should just leave any responses here. Thanks, Mm40 (talk) 01:57, 10 April 2010 (UTC).
- Image
- I disagree with the first purpose of use in the fair-use rational for Image:Simpsons 8F14.png: "This image illustrates the text next to which it appears, which describes the item portrayed."
- It is not given adjacent to text which describes it
- The plot summary doesn't mention the puppet show at all
- Lead
- First paragraph: Should the overall episode number (50) be put in the lead?
- First paragraph: In the sentence beginning "In the episode...", consider flipping the two parts of the sentence so they're in chronological order
- Second paragraph: A citation is needed after "deeper vein of comedy" in the second paragraph as it's a direct quote
- Second paragraph: "by having Marge have a" sounds odd; is it possible to reword this?
- Third paragraph: "finished the week ranked 25th" needs clarification: ranked 25th in what?
- Plot
- Overall, the section has a couple of odd wordings (or places that seem particularly wordy). It passes the "clear prose" requirement of WP:GA?, but I suggest you seek a copy-editor
- "she is assured that she has nothing to worry about" could use a minor clarification: did Homer's response assure her, or something else?
- Fixed.
- Production
- "switching the institute to a vacation" you don't go to a vacation, you go on a vacation. Thus, this should should be "switching the institute to a spa"
- "In the scene where Homer sings" the article doesn't talk about this scene specifically, so it should be "In a scene where Homer sings"
- "for the episode, and animated several" remove the comma here to make it clearer that we're still talking about Dietter
- "although no attention was called to it" needs clarification. Does this mean that the people making the show ignored the request to make Homer look drunk, or that it wasn't very prominent in the actual episode?
- Cultural references
- "chases Bart is reference to the" is missing a word: "chases Bart is a reference to the"
- Reception
- What makes DVD Movie Guide reliable? Who has identified it as an important site for reviews?
- Are there any print (or newspaper) reviews?
- The section should mention when the episode airs
- If it was first shown on February 6, 1992, why would it be in the ratings for the week of November 12–18, 1990?
- You use both "Fox network" (lead) and "Fox Network" (Reception)
- References
- It's a nitpick, I know, but the authors for A Complete Guide To Our Favorite Family should be formatted as such: "Richmond, Ray; Coffman, Antonia". Also, WorldCat lists Groening as an author. Should he be added? If so, it would be "Groening, Matt; Richmond, Ray; Coffman, Antonia"
The rest of the review will be up tomorrow afternoon. Thanks, Mm40 (talk) 01:57, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
